Our Yerba Maté is Fresh
In order to preserve as many fresh nutrients as possible as well as the bright green flavour of the herb we do not age our Yerba Maté. Most Maté is aged for 1 to 2 years before being packaged and exported. We process our Yerba Maté immediately upon harvest, packing it into triple barrier freshness sealed bags. Once the process is complete, we load it on the truck and it heads for the port to be shipped out immediately. We do this because we love fresh Yerba Maté! Maté Factor blends are made with whole spices and the freshest herbs possible. We mill the whole spices as needed to ensure our tea has the freshest taste.
Low Heat, No Smoky Flavour
We cure our Yerba Maté using a CleanHeat® method we developed that preserves the vital nutrients, natural flavour and keeps the Yerba Maté free from smoke. Our process protects the natural enzymes that exist in Yerba Maté, insuring that the plant never reaches temperatures that would damage the natural constituents. This produces a bright, smooth flavour that makes our Maté superb not only by itself, but as a base for blending your own drinks, hot or cold.
We offer generous portions. Our tea bags weigh 3.5 grams each, producing a fuller effect. That's the largest single serving tea bag in the industry! Our loose yerba maté also comes in generous 150g and 300g sizes.
100% Certified Organic Yerba Maté
We use one 100% percent certified organic Yerba Maté, responsibly grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers, preserving the environment where our Yerba Maté is grown. Our Yerba Maté grows in the Southern area of Brazil. The elevation in this area varies from 800 to 1500 meters above sea level. The landscape is formed mostly of rolling hills and occasional ravines and canyons. Small creeks and rivers are a common sight in these parts of the subtropical forest, which is composed mostly of evergreen broadleaf trees, a few coniferous trees, the Paraná Pine being the symbol of the region. The south of Brazil has remained mostly unchanged since the immigration of the European settlers of the area. We gather Yerba Maté from different regions with specific characteristics to achieve our special green flavour.

We began importing Yerba Maté into Canada 12 years ago, for the sole purpose of helping communities in Brazil earn a sustainable income.
