Our Commitment to Organic Ingredients - And You - Continues

At Maté Factor, our commitment to using organic ingredients has always been an important part of who we are. Today, we want to share a change in how we support that commitment.

We are transitioning out of organic certification. This means we will no longer maintain certification for our products, but we still remain committed to using organic ingredients.

Why make this change? The cost of maintaining certification and the limitations we have run into because of it over the past couple of years no longer make good sense for how we want to run our business. Rather than continuing to carry an administrative, operational, and financial burden, we have chosen to redirect those resources into what matters most to us: the quality of our ingredients and keeping our products affordable for you.

This is a decision about certification costs and limitations, not a move away from organic ingredients. By reducing those expenses, we can help keep costs down for our customers while continuing to honor our commitment to thoughtful ingredient sourcing. 

We have also encountered situations where missing supplier documentation created challenges with certification, rather than concerns about the quality of the ingredients themselves. These experiences have reinforced how much we value the trusting relationships we have built with our suppliers. We respect the role organic certification plays and remain committed to the values behind organic growing. Our decision is not a rejection of those values, but a choice to focus our resources on sourcing high-quality organic ingredients through relationships built on integrity, accountability, and trust.

We believe you deserve a clear explanation of what is changing and why. We also understand that organic certification may be important to you, and we welcome your questions as we make this transition.

At this point in time we still have a volume of stock that is certified and as we move through that you will see the changes to our labelling as you shop Maté Factor.  Soon we will also provide a resource for you so you can see where our ingredients are coming from, and the certifications the various suppliers of those ingredients have in an effort to be as transparent as possible with you. We believe this matters - to you, and to us.
